The Department of Community Development and Planning assists
the city through the enforcement of its zoning, development,
building and property maintenance ordinances. Additionally,
the department assists the city in its application for grant
funds that can be used to improve the city's infrastructure
for the health and welfare of the citizens and businesses.
The Office of Federal Programs is tasked with applying
and administering federal and state grant programs for the
city of Corinth. We provide services to the community and
elected officials within the city limits. Services include
securing grants to assist in the city's economic development,
public facilities improvements, and other programs that
will enhance the quality of life in the city. We are also
tasked with keeping the city in compliance with numerous
state and federal laws.
The Office of Permits and Inspections serves as the
code enforcement department. Our area of responsibility
includes permits, inspections, zoning, and floodplain compliance.
We serve the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the Planning Commission,
the Board of Adjustments.
The Office of Code Enforcement investigates and processes
complaints regarding property maintenance and street lighting
that have an impact on the health, safety and welfare of
the residents.
