Garbage Pickup Schedules
Monday - Extends from North Parkway to Tishomingo
Street and from Main Street to the Lake Terrace area
Tuesday - Generally the northeast quadrant of the
city, including North Harper and North Shiloh to State Line
Road on the north.
Wednesday - Generally the South Corinth area as well
as Linden from Wenasoga to Alcorn Drive
Thursday - Includes an area south of Main Street
and areas south of Highway 72 in the southwest part of the
city
Friday - Generally the northwest part of the city,
including North Polk, Forrest School Road and Wenasoga Road
Services & Prices
Residential rubbish pickup will cost $1 per household
per month. Commercial polycarts will go to $30 per cart
per month from $27.
Commercial dumpster prices will rise from $75 for
one pickup per week for an 8-yard dumpster to $100 and 6-yard
dumpsters will go from $60 to $75.
The Adopt-A-Truck program will rise from $25 to $30
for a three-cubic-yard truck and from $35 to $40 per truck
for the five-cubic-yard truck. The street department will
deliver a truck to a site and leave it for up to three days
for residents to fill it and then will pick it up for the
set fee.
The new fee list also adds a new service. The city
will now pick up white goods for a cost of $10 per pickup.
These items, such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryers,
stoves, water heaters and others, have not been picked up
by the city in the past.
